Based in Eumundi, QLD, Eumundi Palms—by Philip Redhead is home to one of Australia’s largest range of rare, endemic, and exotic palms.
We are very proud of the remarkable variety, quality and service Eumundi Palm’s offers. We are always looking to have a point of difference, whether that’s growing rare varieties that no one else has, adopting new sustainable practices, or offering advice and knowledge beyond expectations.
Our History
It has been a long journey to get to this point of the business. A whole lot of hard work, enduring passion, and support from friends and family has gotten the business to where it is today. Growing and supplying Palms and plants on this scale has been a dream of Philip’s for many years! However, sharing his passion and love for rare, unique Palms has always been the main driver.
From Landscaping in the 1990’s to growing and selling Palms from a backyard greenhouse, the passion grew and so did the greenhouses! So here we are at Eumundi Palms. After years in the industry and growing on a relatively small scale, it came a time to evolve into bigger and better things!
“Eumundi Palms lead the way delivering quality products and friendly service with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and professionalism.”
— Gavin, Alpine Nurseries
Philip Redhead
— Owner & Director
As a young boy, Philip spent many Sundays with his parents and grandparents touring the Sydney Botanical Gardens. This is where his fascination with unusual plants began.
Phil has always had a clear vision when planning his own gardens, clients’ gardens and now the Nursery. Phil’s passion for Palm trees and the natural world is evident in what he does.
With 28 years of industry experience and growing Palms, Phil has a wealth of knowledge in all things horticulture. From humble beginnings, growing Palms in a small backyard greenhouse, landscaping and designing gardens and pools in the 90’s.
Philip has persisted in what can be a difficult industry. He credits this to his enduring passion and love for Palms. Also, a special mention to the fellow Nurserymen and growers who have become true friends and motivators over the years!
